Even though there was only a small selection of objects brought for us to see as the session, it was interesting to see what sort of objects are available for viewing at the Special Collections. What I found of most interest was the series of books that had been brought along, especially one on the language of flowers, as it reminded me of a similar book I have at home. I think I could somehow bring this together with the 'Threads of Feeling' article I was looking at. I like the idea that the prints I create could have a hidden meaning - visually saying one thing, but through symbols representing something else.
