As soon as I decided to look at the 1950s, I knew I wanted a chance to explore further the work of Day. I love the layouts, the use of geometric shapes mixed in with more solid blocks. I particularly the prints where lines are used to randomly connect motifs; I want to look into this style of working later on in the project when I get closer to actually making my prints as I think it might be a good way to add 50s style to 18th C style drawings.
